This Policy is published in compliance with the Information Technology Act, 2000, the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011, and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (“DPDP Act“) and rules made thereunder, as applicable in India.

2. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
The Platform uses the following tools to understand usage and communicate with you:
- Google Analytics — for website traffic and behaviour analytics.
- Meta/Instagram Pixel — for advertising measurement and retargeting.
- WhatsApp Business API — for enrollment updates and support communication.
- Email marketing tools — for programme updates, newsletters, and promotional communication.

3. How We Use Your Information
We use personal data to: process enrollments and payments; deliver programmes and certificates; provide placement assistance by sharing relevant profile details with hiring partners; communicate programme, batch, and support information; run analytics and improve the Platform; send promotional communication (where you have not opted out); and comply with applicable law.
4. Disclosure of Information
We do not sell personal data. We may share personal data, on a need-to-know basis, with:
- Payment gateways — Razorpay, PayU, Stripe, and PayPal, to process payments.
- EMI/financing partners — including EasyPay, Cashfree, Razorpay, Earlysalary, and credit card issuers, where you opt for an installment or financed payment plan. Please note these partners have their own privacy and financing terms, which are separate from this Policy.
- Hiring partners — where you have opted in to placement assistance, to facilitate introductions and referrals.
- Our Learning Hub platform provider (Graphy) — to deliver course content and track your learning progress.
- Cloud hosting and infrastructure providers — to host and operate the Platform securely.
- Regulators, law enforcement, or courts — where required by applicable law.
We require these parties to handle your data securely and only for the purposes disclosed to them.
5. Children’s Privacy
Certain Institutional Training programmes may involve students under the age of 18 (“Minors“). Where this is the case:
- Enrollment and data collection for Minors will, wherever feasible, be routed through and coordinated with the relevant school, college, or institution, which will act as the responsible point of contact for consent and communication.
- Where enrollment cannot be routed through an institution, we will obtain verifiable consent from a parent or legal guardian before collecting or processing a Minor’s personal data.
- We do not use a Minor’s data for behavioural monitoring, tracking, or targeted advertising, in line with the DPDP Act.
- A parent or guardian may contact our Grievance Officer at any time to review, correct, or request deletion of their child’s data.
6. Data Storage, Security, and Retention
We implement reasonable technical and organisational security measures, consistent with the IT Rules, 2011, to protect personal data against unauthorised access, alteration, or disclosure. We retain personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this Policy, to provide ongoing support (e.g., alumni/placement services), or as required by applicable law, after which it is securely deleted or anonymised.
7. International Data and Global Learners
As SkilD’s learner base grows internationally, we intend to align our practices with internationally recognised data protection standards, including the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), for learners based in such jurisdictions. If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction with specific data protection rights, you may contact our Grievance Officer to raise any rights request applicable to you under your local law, and we will make reasonable efforts to accommodate it as our international operations formalise.
8. Your Rights
Subject to the DPDP Act and applicable law, you have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you; request correction of inaccurate data; request erasure of your data (subject to legal retention requirements); withdraw consent at any time (which may affect our ability to provide certain services); and file a grievance regarding our handling of your data.
